Last night we celebrated Katy's birthday at Michels. It was a beautiful evening and very romantic. Ellis is back on the island from California. He was our neighbor in the condo before he moved back to the mainland.

- Southern girl and hippie husband have landed in Honolulu! Only major problem so far is being understood by the locals.... sometimes having to repeat things.... and use gestures. We are on a big adventure because kids are grown and have grown tired of us. Seriously, we are fulfilling a lifetime dream of living in paradise. We love the Aloha spirit and laid back lifestyle. We love the fresh food (except poi) and having lots of exercise. If we are not in the jeep headed out to a special beach, we are walking around downtown Waikiki. We are loving having friends visit and enjoy paradise with us. Hopefully through this blog we will share this wonderful island with our friends! Fun activities so far have included compiling a cute dog list. We've met Bandit and Daisy and others. Enough about the dogs and back to our two sons... We have two adult sons who are busy at work as we write this. Too bad for them. We are very proud of them though and hope to get them here soon. They both have wonderful girlfriends that we think are so special too. One last shout across the Pacific to our mainland friends. Don't forget about that calendar. You are always in our hearts!
